Specialized Treatment: Down syndrome
I provide specialized mental health support for individuals with Down syndrome (age 18+) and their families across a range of needs and life stages. Services include individual therapy for adults with Down syndrome focused on emotional wellbeing, coping skills, and personal growth, as well as therapy for parents and caregivers navigating stress, adjustment, and long-term support. I’m also an active member of the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group (DSMIG-USA) and regularly consult with professionals across the country so I can bring best practices and fresh ideas to my clients.
I also offer perinatal-focused therapy for expecting parents receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis during pregnancy, as well as support for prenatal adjustment and decision-making during this time. In addition, I facilitate prenatal group therapy to provide a supportive space for connection, education, and shared experience among parents navigating similar journeys.
More group offerings for adults with Down syndrome are currently in development, including CBT-based groups focused on anxiety management, as well as groups centered on healthy relationships and healthy boundaries. Inquire with me for more information!
