Specialized Treatment: Perinatal Mood Disorders
I provide individual therapy for those navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, infertility, pregnancy loss, NICU experiences, and birth-related trauma. This work is grounded in specialized training in perinatal mental health, including a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), as well as extensive clinical experience supporting individuals and families during medically and emotionally complex perinatal experiences.
The perinatal period can bring a wide range of emotions, often occurring simultaneously—joy, fear, grief, anxiety, guilt, overwhelm, and uncertainty. Therapy provides a supportive space to process these experiences, strengthen coping strategies, and support emotional regulation during a time of significant transition and change.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized. Together, we may focus on processing birth or medical trauma, navigating identity shifts, managing anxiety or mood symptoms, and rebuilding a sense of stability and self-trust. Treatment is always tailored to your needs and paced in a way that feels safe and supportive.
My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and less alone as you move through the challenges and complexity of the perinatal experience.
